Convenient location with free parking, double glazing kept noise out. Amazing cooked-to-order breakfast with interesting history. Friendly staff. Homely atmosphere, enjoyed dinner by the real fire watching TV. Clean and tidy with bright breakfast room. Dog-friendly with nice garden. Would definitely return.

The hotel had excellent communication and friendly staff. The event room was well laid out and the food was excellent. The bedrooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is a perfect place to celebrate special occasions with family.
The hotel needs better signage, especially at night. The room had a musty smell and the bed was very hard.

I gotta say, we got a great deal for our money at this country hotel. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and had a lovely view of the garden. The location was perfect for us, with easy access to the town center and just a short walk to the P&Ride. Plus, the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, going above and beyond to accommodate our vegetarian diet and even cooking us a special meal. They were also fantastic with our children and the chickens in the garden were a hit!
The breakfast offerings could be improved by adding more variety.

Staff were very friendly location ideal for my business meeting
Felt like a bed and breakfast rather than a hotel. Old house felt cold in the dining rooms. Breakfast was nice evening meal very bland did not enjoy it.

Staff were helpful snd friendly. \the room was immacuately clean, comfortable and nicely decorated with a 4 poster bed. we took our dog who is very well behaved and this was acceptable. The breakfast was lovely. Well cooked and plenty of it. The dinning area was bright, clean and welcoming. Would recommend!
The hotel location on the map looked like it was on the edge of the town almost in the countryside but it is like the city has come out and grown around the hotel.
